"I love the coaching staff and I love the players," Odighizuwa said. "I just loved the whole atmosphere. It was a real laid back environment. Everything was really good between the players and the coaches.
"Talking with the academic people, I mean I already know that UCLA is a really good academic school so that made it easy," Odighizuwa said. "The surrounding area and the weather, everything was good.
"The Rose Bowl would be a great place to play," Odighizuwa said. "It was a pretty good game. It was a rough battle and UCLA had to bounce back in the end."
"I hung out with the freshmen," Odighizuwa said. "Keenan Graham was my host and I hung out with Datone Jones. It was fun being around Datone."
Even though Odighizuwa had an outstanding time at UCLA, he showed patience and did not commit because he still has three visits left on his college recruiting itinerary.
"I already know that my game plan was to take my time and I didn't want to fall into the trap of just committing on a real good visit and then regretting it and then de-committing," Odighizuwa said. "Then I would potentially lose the coaches trust and stuff like that. I just didn't want to get caught up in that.
"I have Nebraska, Florida and USC still to visit," Odighizuwa said. "I will go to Nebraska on November 21st, then I go to Florida for the Florida State game (November 28th) and USC sometime in December. I will then make my mind up and then announce my decision during the U.S. Army All-American game."
Odighizuwa and his Douglas teammates will play in their first playoff game this Friday Evening against Salem (Ore.) South Salem.
