Five star RB Wells visits Big Ten country

Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood's Maurice Wells , a 5-foot-9 and 180 pounder, isn't real big, but is one of the country's top prospects. Wells rushed for 3,076 yards and 31 touchdowns during his senior season. This five star prospect has family in Columbus and was in the Buckeye state the past few days.
"My mom's side of the family lives in Columbus," Wells said. "I came up there to visit them. I visited Ohio State on Monday."

"It was my first time on campus there. I liked everything about it. The coaches, the campus, the facilities, everything. I liked everything about it."
"I met pretty much all the coaches. Jim Tressel, (running backs coach Dick) 'Doc' Tressel, (wide receivers coach Darrell) Hazell, I liked all of them. Coach Tressel seems like a great guy, a great guy to play for."
"I have a top three right now of Ohio State, USC, and Georgia Tech."
"I also like Notre Dame, Maryland, and kinda Florida State."
"Not that I'm looking to leave Florida, but I don't see how I would fit into the Florida schools."
"I'm not going to visit anyone else this summer, except for the Georgia Tech camp this weekend."
Wells has scholarship offers from all of the schools he mentioned plus many others from coast-to-coast. Rivals.com ranks him No. 7 overall among members of the class of 2005.
