Five-star RB Walker decommits from OSU

After committing to Ohio State during halftime of the 2015 National Championship game, five-star running back Kareem Walker has decommitted. The Wayne (N.J.) De Paul Catholic star has been quietly looking at some other schools, most notably Michigan, for the last few months.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Walker took an official visit to Michigan in early October but he is also considering schools like Ole Miss, Alabama and Arizona State. He did say about a month ago that he would probably taking official visits to those schools as well as Ohio State.
IN HIS WORDS: "It is after much consideration, thought and meeting multiple times with my family and coaches that I'm rescinding my verbal commitment to Ohio State. At this point the relationship has changed. I've wrestled with this for a few months and truly wanted this to work out. However I do not think it is fair to Ohio State or myself to remain committed when my heart is telling me otherwise. I will be taking my visits and ultimately making a decision that will best serve me and my family. I will not be commenting any further on my recruitment until after I submit my LOI and enroll for spring semester. I need to focus on my team, my grades and my play," Walker tweeted.
RIVALS' REACTION: At this point all signs point to Michigan as the favorite. Expect Walker take official visits after De Paul's season is over but eventually sign with the Wolverines.
