Five-Star RB Remains Neutral

Lexington, S.C. running back Demetris Summers has been to one local school twice on unofficial visits over the last month. However, he's not ready to name anyone his leader....not yet anyhow.
"I was at the South Carolina-Mississippi State game this weekend and I had a good time," said the 6-foot-1, 200-pound five-star tailback. "I'm getting to know the players and my recruiting coach better."

Summers is being recruited by South Carolina wideouts coach Joker Phillips, but it looks like USC still has some work to do.
"All of my favorites are even," he said. "I like South Carolina, Miami, Florida, Florida State and Tennessee all the same. I've been to South Carolina twice now and I want to take an official visit there as well. But I'll need to take all of my officials before I can decide anything."
Although his team has struggled to a 2-4 record early this season, Summers has more than 1,000 yards in just five games and more than 10 touchdowns. He wants to take his time with the process, but one factor could outweigh all others.
"My mom wants me to go to a school that is close to home and where she can come and watch me play," he said. "That will be a big factor in my decision."
Looks like trouble for the others. Columbia, S.C. is just 15 minutes from the Summers household.
