Five-Star: Ranking the tight ends

Upshur was quiet in the morning session but made his mark during the evening's 7-on-7 tournament. He caught three touchdowns in his team's final two games and was a big reason why his squad captured the championship. Upshur isn't as big as Nauta, but he moves just as well. He will only get better as he adds muscle, as his hands are already reliable.

TE
Jamal Pettigrew
New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine
An LSU commit, Pettigrew managed to blend in for most of the day. He made a nice play or two during the day's 7-on-7 event and won a handful of reps during one-on-ones. There was nothing spectacular about his day, however, and he dropped a few passes as well. That said, Pettigrew has impressive size and has looked good at most other events. Reading too much into his quiet day in Baltimore would be a mistake.

TE
Gabe Angel
Cookeville, Tenn.
It was a long day for Angel, who didn't quite measure up to the other tight ends in attendance. The Ole Miss commit is not particularly big for the position, but does get off the line of scrimmage with a burst. The potential in Angel is clear. He has talent. He just had trouble putting it together in Baltimore.
