Is there any doubt that the nation’s number two ranked prospect according to rivals.com five star defensive back Randy Estes (6-2, 200, 4.4) from Los Alamitos, Calif., has been living up to his rep? The answer is a resounding yes.
Estes and his Los Al teammates are currently ranked number one in the very tough SS CIF Division I.

Estes has scored five touchdowns, picked off three passes and has a bunch of tackles.
Though recruiters and recruiting gurus have been calling non-stop, Estes’ dad Randy Estes, Sr., is on top of the situation.
“Randy is focusing on schoolwork and the books,” Estes, Sr., said. “He is working very hard on passing his SAT.”
Estes is taking practice tests to make sure that he is successful in passing the test.
“Randy is working hard on the important things,” Estes, Sr., said. “We’re making sure he is getting ready for the future.”
“The phone has been ringing off the hook since September,” Estes, Sr., said. “I just want to make sure that Randy is concentrating on the important things.”
In the course of this interview the phone rang at least five times that Mr. Estes answered and there may have been others that he didn’t even bother.
“Randy is going to hold back on any visits until after the season,” Estes, Sr., said. “He doesn’t want me to list any favorites at this time. It will all come out in soon enough.”
Estes was selected CIF Division I, County and League Defensive Player of the Year. He was also selected the Golden State’s Junior Defensive Player of the Year and every honor that goes with it.
Estes racked up 72 tackles, 24 first hits, four tackles for loss, three sacks, three picks and two forced fumbles as a junior.
When asked who was interested in Estes Los Al defensive coordinator said it best in a spring time interview with rivals.com, “There won’t be a school that wouldn’t offer Randy if he showed interest.”
That statement about sums it up.
