Talk about getting your season off on the right foot. Houston Madison quarterback Vince Young threw three touchdown passses and ran for another in a scrimmage victory last Friday night.
It's not wonder why Rivals100.com has ranked him as the nation's No. 2 dual-threat quarterback and a five-star prospect.
It's also no wonder why Young's scholarship list reads like a who's who of college football. But Young is being proactive with the process and has narrowed his list to workable group.
"It's still the same guys," Young, who is 6-foot-6 and 185 pounds, said.
"It's guys like Florida State, Kansas State, Oklahoma, LSU, Miami, Tennessee and Southern Miss. That's basically my final group."
Some have reported that Young is a lean toward Florida State or even LSU. Young said he grew up an FSU fan but made it clear that would have nothing to do with his decision.
"I have to do what's best for me," he said.
