Five-star QB lands Notre Dame offer

Josh Rosen has proven himself to be one of the best players in the 2015 class.
The Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco quarterback just added another major offer to his list, too.

Notre Dame offered Rosen on Saturday morning, the day after he carved through the Fresno (Calif.) Clovis North defensive in a 48-0 victory. St. John Bosco, one of the top teams nationally, defeated Compton (Calif.) Dominguez, 40-7, in the first week.
"September 1, they contacted me and they wanted to make sure they weren't offering blind," Rosen said of the Irish. "They actually came out to our spring day, and they talked it over, I guess.
"I don't know how much they saw of last game, but that maybe topped it off."
Notre Dame is definitely of interest to Rosen, who is serious about the right academic and athletic mix in his college decision.
California, Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon State, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Utah, Vanderbilt and Virginia have offered.
Many others are showing interest because Rosen showed at the Rivals 100 Five-Star Challenge presented by Under Armour this summer in Chicago that he's possibly the top quarterback in the junior class.
Rosen said he's considering a trip to South Bend with teammate Damien Mama, a four-star offensive guard, during St. John Bosco's bye week, which would be for the Oklahoma game this month.
"It's a great school; I'd love to visit," Rosen said.
"Damien is taking his official on our bye week, and I'm wondering if I should go up there with him. It's a great school with great tradition. I'd love to look more into the school."
