Five-Star OL Has Three Favorites

Huntersville (N.C.) North Mecklenburg offensive tackle Derek Morris loved his official visit to Georgia this past weekend that the big man now has a three-way tie among his favorites.
“Georgia was really cool,” said the 6-foot-6, 350-pound five-star stud. “I really liked the coaches a lot there. They made me feel comfortable and I had a good time. Georgia lost the game to Auburn, but it was close all the way.”

Morris now lists Georgia along with Ohio State and Tennessee as his leaders. He’s already taken official visits to UGA and OSU and will take his Tennessee visit it January.
“I moved the visit to January 11th because of the Shrine Game,” he said. “I’m going to Florida on January 18th and I still need to set my fifth trip. The Florida trip is not certain yet because I want to see how I like it down there when I go to see them play Tennessee on an unofficial visit coming up.”
Morris will have a busy Saturday this weekend.
“I’m going to the North Carolina-Duke game and then later that night I’ll be at the NC State-Maryland game,” he said. “I’m also considering Miami and South Carolina for visits.”
Morris has always been a huge Lou Holtz fan since he was young and, “if they can convince me that coach Holtz will be at South Carolina for another four or five years, I’ll definitely take an official visit there.”
