Five-star linebacker now up to 12 offers

One of the top inside linebackers in the country is thinking in state and way out of state for three of his official visits.
Saginaw, Mich. Lamarr Woodley plans to make official visits to Michigan and Michigan State, even though they are close to his home. The other planned official visit will be to USC.

“They send a lot of linebackers to the NFL,” the 6-foot-3, 250 pound Woodley said. “Four different coaches called from USC, the defensive coordinator, linebacker coach and two other coaches.”
The five-star rated Woodley has not decided on his last two visits, but he did mention three other possibilities for the last two official visits.
“I like Miami, Nebraska and Virginia too.”
He knows what he will be looking for from the school of his choice.
“I really want to see if I can go in playing. Also, getting along with the coaching staff will be important. I like to play on top.”
His offer list has now reached 12 schools. Nebraska, Michigan State, Purdue, Virginia, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, Wisconsin, Penn State, Toledo and Miami were the previous 11 schools to offer Woodley. Florida has joined them.
Lamarr Woodley was very busy at linebacker for Saginaw High School in Michigan as a junior. He ended the season with 112 tackles. He added 12 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and eight pass deflections.
As a junior, Woodley made first-team all-state in Michigan.
As a sophomore, he did not go without recognition either. He made first-team all-valley and first-team all-league.
