Five-star linebacker Ryan Reynolds (6-2, 220, 4.6) from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman has set up three official visits. Reynolds has offers from just about everybody so three teams are very happy with this turn of events.
Reynolds will take his first visit to Oklahoma on September 4th for the Bowling Green game. His next stop will be in Gainesville when he will visit Florida on September 24th for Kentucky game. His third official visit will be to Baton Rouge and LSU on October 29th for the Vanderbilt game.
The reason for these dates is because Bishop Gorman either plays on Thursday evening or they have a bye week.
If Reynolds takes all five visits his last two visits could come out of a pool of Miami, Washington, UCLA and Wisconsin.
Much of who gets the last two, if he indeed takes anymore visits, will depend on how schools do early in the season.
Reynolds has had a great off-season. One of his most impressive feats was when he broke the NIKE Camp SPARQ Rating record with a score of 108.7.
In the weight room Reynolds benches 370, squats 500 and has recorded a 30-inch vertical jump.
As a junior Reynolds racked up 96 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, six sacks and one pick as a junior. He also did a nice job as a fullback rushing for 393 yards on 35 carries and scored five touchdowns.
In an earlier interview with Bishop Gorman coach David White, he had this to say about his stellar athlete, “Ryan is the most talented player I have ever coached or been around. His work ethic and determination to be the best cannot be measured.”
“Ryan is a great leader both on and off the field,” White said. “Along with extraordinary strength, he possesses incredible quickness and closing speed to the ball.”
Reynolds is rated by Rivals.com as the number five prospect at any position in the nation and is a member the Rivals100 preseason team for 2005. Rivals.com also rates him as the nation’s one outside linebacker and the number one player from the state of Nevada.
