Saginaw, Mich., linebacker LaMarr Woodley is one of the nation’s hottest prospects and he just happened to take a visit this past weekend to one of the nation’s hottest teams.
“I really liked my visit to USC,” Woodley, the five-star linebacker that is 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, said. “It was a 10.”

How did it compare to his official visit to Oklahoma two weeks ago, that he also rated as a 10?
“The visit part was about the same,” Woodley said. “I got to see the campus and see a great football game. The only thing is that there is more things to do in California. That’s the only big difference. I was hosted by Alex Holmes, and we went to the House of Blues. That was really cool. I don’t think you can do that in Oklahoma.”
Woodley said all of the teams on his list are neck-and-neck and the next team on his visit list is Michigan and then Florida some time in January. He had previously intended to visit Michigan State but he said he’s “not sure” about them now.
“I’m excited about my visit this weekend to Michigan,” he said. “I’ve only really been up there for games and camps. I’ve never been able to see Ann Arbor and the campus. It’ll be neat to see what that is like.”
Woodley said he has not received any in-home visits yet and is not sure when the schools are coming by his house.
