Five star linebacker Lamarr Woodley (6-2, 254, 4.7) from Saginaw, Mich., has narrowed down his school choice to two. Woodley is considered the top prospect at any position from the state of Michigan and he is one of the top three linebacker prospects in the nation.
The two lucky schools that Woodley has narrowed his choices down to are home state school Michigan where he was last weekend (December 6th) and USC where he visited the weekend of the Notre Dame (November 29th).
What does Woodley like about USC and Michigan?
According to Saginaw Coach Don Durrett, Woodley liked the weather out in Los Angeles and had a great time on his visit. USC gave him the red carpet treatment. He likes the direction the program is going in.
With Michigan Woodley likes the environment, the tradition and the coaches at Michigan.
Woodley had 80 tackles, 10 sacks and had one blocked punt that he returned for a touchdown as a senior.
Woodley is an outstanding all around athlete who is also a standout in hoops and track. He never threw the shot before last track season and still he finished fourth in the state meet.
The roller coaster ride will begin in earnest for Michigan and USC fans. “Lamar should make up his mind after Christmas break,” Durrett said. “He will not take anymore trips.”
The Christmas break starts December 20th to January 6th.
