Five-star K.J. Henry is getting ready to release his top five on Monday but the Clemmons (N.C.) West Forsyth defensive end just took a visit to Ohio State before Friday Night Lights. He also brought along most of his teammates for this visit.
IN HIS OWN WORDS…
"This Ohio State visit came about because I talked to my head coach about it," Henry said. "We knew we had a 7-on-7 in Ohio and I knew that, with Ohio State recruiting me, a lot of kids on my team wouldn't get a chance to see something like this. We have a bunch of great players that will get to see colleges but some never will. I had seen the school before and I knew what they coaching staff was about and I knew that they would show my teammates and me a good time. I suggested that we stop by Ohio State and check it out. I really think everybody had a good time. I wanted to make sure my guys would be able to see what it's like. I was very happy with the way Ohio State treated us.
"I'd say, on a scale of one to ten, it was an eight." he said. "That's only because we didn't really get to see coach Meyer. That would've been the icing on the cake. I've met him before and talked to him. He's a great guy. For my teammates to see coach Meyer would've been pretty cool but I know he's a busy guy. That's the only reason it wasn't a perfect visit. Everything else was great. We saw Braxton Miller working out."
RIVALS' REACTION
Ohio State fans have to be happy about getting Henry's last visit before he releases his top schools on Monday. The Buckeyes are in a fight with Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech for a spot in Henry's top five. Distance could be a factor here for Henry as he moves through the process but only time will which five schools make his top five and receive an official visit from the early enrollee.
