Jalen Hall is the top-rated receiver in the 2018 class and he said Ohio State is making a big effort to get him on campus soon.

The Los Angeles Hawkins prospect is definitely interested in the Buckeyes and is hoping to visit Ohio State along with getting out to Washington and back to Oklahoma this offseason.

“I was talking to (the Ohio State coaches) and they want me to come down to visit,” Hall said. “I’ve been talking about it for a while, to come down and visit, and I want to, I’ve heard a lot of great things about it. I want to get down there, see the campus and talk football.”

Getting out to more places is a focus for the five-star receiver who remains wide open in his recruitment. He especially wants to see schools he hasn’t visited yet and Hall said getting back to Oklahoma is of interest as well.

“I’m going to take visits everywhere especially places that I haven’t been that I want to go to,” Hall said.

The Los Angeles Hawkins standout will be asked a lot about USC as his recruitment continues. It's inevitable.

Teammate Marcus Johnson, a 2018 four-star athlete, is already committed to the Trojans. Greg Johnson and Joseph Lewis, two top Hawkins recruits in the 2017 class, are visiting USC this weekend.

Will all of them end up staying local and playing for the Trojans? Hall didn’t count it out but he did say that everyone is going to do what’s best for their own situations.

“Especially because we have a lot of guys on the team that have been offered by USC, they’re trying to get all of us,” Hall said. “It all sounds good but we all know we might not all end up going there because the situation is different for each of us.

“We have Marcus committed there already so I don’t know. It would be cool for all of us to go there but we have to think reality. It’s going to be different for all of us.”
