Five-star DT keeping options open

Oklahoma City (Okla.) Southeast defensive tackle Gerald McCoy has his choice of colleges across the country to pick from when it comes time for the five-star standout to make his college selection. But, that choice may not come for a while.
"I'm still open to all of the schools that are recruiting me," the 6-foot-4, 305-pound McCoy said. "I am not going to rush my choice. I am thankful for everything that has happened to me in this whole process."

Part of that process is being named one of the nation's top players both overall and at his position. He is the No. 16 rated overall prospect in the recent Rivals100 and the No. 2 rated defensive tackle.
McCoy's list of offers includes Kansas State, LSU, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Southern Cal, Tennessee and Texas Tech among others.
"I have several good options among all of the schools," he said. "I want to find the place where I am comfortable and where the coaching staff is one that cares about the players. I am also looking for a place that has good facilities to use during my career."
