"I had a lot of other great options, but I want to play for the Terrapins. It's just the smart decision for me to make. I can stay close to home, be close to family and play in a very good conference against the best of the best."
Alaeze is ranked as the No. 2 player in the state of Maryland. He announced his decision live on NBC just moments ago from the Alamo Dome.
