Five-Star DB Tempted

Jacksonville (Fla.) Andrew Jackson cornerback Leon Washington knows his favorite school and is tempted to commit. However, he's going to hold off for now.
"Florida State is at the top of my list and it would be easy to commit," said the 5-foot-10, 180-pound star. "But I need to compare them to some other schools. I want to take all of my visits because there's no rush."
Washington prefers to play running back in college now although he'd still play either wide receiver or cornerback if that's where he fits best.
"Whatever they want me to do and wherever I can impact the earliest," he said. "I think I can more on offense."
Washington has visits set with Oklahoma (Dec. 14), Maryland (Jan. 4), Florida (Jan. 11), South Carolina (Jan. 18) and FSU (Jan. 25).
"I'll finish things up at FSU and see how they compare to the other trips," he said. "That way I'll know for sure."
Washington was supposed to head up to South Carolina twice on unofficial visits this season but never made it.
"I really wanted to see it," he said. "Coach Lounsberry was here this past week and he was cool. I'll give them a long look."
