After his season opener, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage defensive back Tarvarus McFadden named LSU his leader. Since that time McFadden has been keeping a low profile with his recruitment.

What's the latest on McFadden? The five-star defender said, "Nothing much. My phone isn't working so I can't receive calls."
Maybe that is the reason things have been quiet for him. When asked if he has picked up new offers? He replied, " No new offers right now. I haven't really been talking to coaches too much right now."
McFadden did not attend the Miami-Florida game last week and he doesn't have any fall visits planned. Although he wants to check out LSU.
The 6-foot-3, 190-poud cornerback said, "I'm going to try and go visit LSU, but I'm not sure when." When asked if LSU still leads? He responded, "I'm not sure."
His family wants him to stay close to home, so that could help the in-state programs. He is focusing on his junior season at the moment. Heritage fell in their second game of the year to previously RivalsHigh100 No. 1 ranked Miami (Fla.) Central. They rebounded last night with a 42-7 rout of Miami (Fla.) Columbus.
A decision may come before the start of his senior campaign. McFadden remarked, "I want to decide maybe sometime after this season."
