Five-star DB adds another offer

The recruitment of five-star Minkah Fitzpatrick has been moving steadily along. Earlier this week he added another offer from N.C. State.
"I know that N.C. State just put out a really good defensive back last year in David Amerson," said the 6-foot, 183-pound Fitzpatrick. "He's really good. I want to starting getting in contact with them a little bit more so I can get to know the coaches. That's always a school that I watch. I want to get in contact with them and learn more about them.

"I haven't followed them too much this year but I think that staff has done a decent job this year," he said. "They haven't done a bad job. It's their first year and having an OK season is fine."
Almost every BCS school has expressed interest in the defensive back from Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep but a few continue to grab his attention because of the mail he is getting from them.
"Notre Dame is sending me about four or five letters every day," Fitzpatrick said. "Alabama is also sending me big letters every day.
"I watched the Alabama game and recorded the Notre Dame game last weekend," he said. "I was kind of mad the way Alabama lost. They had all those linemen on the field and they couldn't do anything about it. That was one of the best games I've watched ever."
Fitzpatrick has been focused on this season so he hasn't been able to take many visits.
"Ohio State was last visit," said Fitzpatrick. "It was a good visit. They played Penn State. I wish it was a better game but I was a good experience and the crowd was great.
"I don't have any other visits set up right now," he said. "I'm just focused on my championship game."
St. Peter's Prep plays Paramus (N.J.) Paramus Catholic on Friday night for New Jersey Non-Public Group 4 Championship.
