RB Sony Michel, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage
vs.
LB Tre Williams, Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's
---------
Why Michel has an edge:
The five-star running back can get over the top of linebackers on wheel and seam patterns using his world-class track speed. In addition to his wheels, Michel has outstanding start-and-stop ability and can get open on option/choice and angle routes. He has soft hands and will be an asset in the passing game against slower linebackers.

---------
Why Williams has an edge:
The Rivals100 'backer has long arms and superb instincts to lock up the fleet-footed Michel. Williams plays the ball well when taking his drops, and he uses his eyes well to get into passing lanes. He rarely takes false steps, and because of his length he can disrupt Michel's release when the running back comes out of his junction point upfield. Although Michel has the edge in speed, Williams is a capable defender with a nose for the ball and above-average quickness to win this contest.

---------
Overall edge:
This will all be about whether Williams can use his long arms and big frame to knock Michel off his routes within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. If he can't, it's lights out. Michel is a tough target to hit, so the edge here is to the speedy running back. Michel will have plenty of space to work in, and he's just too quick for Williams, or any linebacker at the event, to check.
