Five-star back from Oklahoma

Five-star linebacker Caleb Kelly took his official visit to Oklahoma last weekend and it was definitely an important visit for the Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West standout. The Sooners have been recruiting Kelly hard for some time and they have had success in the Fresno area in recent recruiting classes. Could Kelly be the next star from Central California to head to Norman?

WHAT'S NEXT?: Kelly, rated as the second-best prospect in California, has now taken visits to Oklahoma, Michigan and Oregon and could visit Notre Dame as well. Ohio State and Ole Miss are pushing the five-star prospect to take an official but Kelly said he's unsure as to his plans for his fifth visit. A commitment is not expected until National Signing Day.
IN HIS WORDS: "Mike (Stoops) would be my position coach so both were telling me how much they need me and the opportunity I have," Kelly said. "They would need me to come in and play right away. It's almost like a guarantee because they don't have many back-ups. They were saying how much they really need me to go there."
RIVALS' REACTION: Oklahoma could be shooting up the list for Kelly, who also likes Michigan a whole lot at this point. Oregon is also involved since Kelly had a good time on his visit there but the Ducks probably have some room to make up. With his decision not coming for a few months, a lot can happen with coaching changes but that's where it stands at this point.
