Five standing out to Manuel

Bradenton (Flor.) IMG Academy defensive end Shavar Manuel is adjusting to the talent that he is playing next to now in comparison to his old school. The 6-foot-3 and 252-pound Manuel says that the talent level at IMG is through the roof. The talented defensive end recruit is playing inside for IMG this season.
"My season is going pretty good," Manuel said. "Things are not the same here as they were at my old high school. The depth and the talent level is crazy here. I am being looked at to play defensive end in college, but I am playing inside here. I am playing both spots inside here and just trying to help finish up strong."

There is one official visit in the books for Manuel after taking a trip to Baton Rouge this past weekend. He says that he doesn't have any other visits set up at the moment. While he doesn't have any other dates set for official visits he says that he knows the other four schools that he would like to visit and this list of schools seems fairly concrete.
"I just got back from taking an official visit to LSU this last weekend," Manuel said. "I don't have any other visits set. I am looking at some other schools for my other official visits. I am really looking at a number of SEC schools.
"I am trying to get up to see Georgia, Tennessee and Missouri. I am also trying to go and see Ohio State. Those are the schools that I am really looking to go and see. There really aren't any other schools that I am considering besides those schools for official visits."
Manuel isn't sure when he will be able to make the rest of his trips. There is also no timetable to Manuel has set to when he would like to make and announce his decision. He isn't rushing and says that when it happens, it happens.
"I don't really have a time in mind when I want to commit," Manuel said. "I don't necessarily think that I will wait until signing day. When I know I will know."
