Five schools standing out for McGill

Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes defensive tackle Demetri McGill is now over ten offers and continues to receive interest from additional schools. Is the 6-foot-2, 297-pounder focusing his list though?
"He got an offer at midsummer from Maryland along with his offers from Charlotte, Cincinnati, Connecticut, East Carolina, Hampton, James Madison, Marshall, Norfolk State, Ohio and Old Dominion," Ocean Lakes head coach Chris Scott said.

Regarding a decision, McGill considered it by the end of the summer, but has since backed off from that.
"He really flirted with the idea of making a decision, but after taking summer visits he decided that he wants to take some official visits," he said. "He wants to get a real feel for where he wants to go. I know some visits are on the horizon, likely to Maryland, East Carolina, Connecticut, Cincinnati and Old Dominion."
Are those his top five?
"It looks like he is leaning to those right now from what's happened."
A few other schools are still keeping an eye on McGill even if they have not yet offered.
"Penn State came by last week," he said. "He also has a cousin up at Virginia and had a great camp at Virginia Tech. USF and Purdue have called along with Wake Forest and North Carolina as well."
As for his play this season, Scott claims McGill is performing well.
"He's playing great," he said. "He has come over to the offensive side of the ball and he's played tremendous with his football IQ. Defensively, he's a guy that demands double teams."
