Five schools open Gbadyus eyes

Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard linebacker Bani Gbadyu made 78 tackles including 15 sacks during his junior season. Gbadyu played a combination outside linebacker and defensive end. He is being recruited as an outside linebacker or strong safety.
"I have 16 offers," Gbadyu said. "About nine of them are in writing.

"I'm keeping things open. But right now some schools that really open my eyes are Boston College, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Penn State, and Michigan State.
"Those schools opened my eyes when they came here. They said if I came in and worked hard, I would get a chance. They offered a scholarship, but they didn't just say I was going to start."
The 6-foot-1 and 205 pound Gbadyu talked about some other schools that have offered a scholarship.
"Syracuse, Marshall, Akron, Indiana, and Clemson have offered," Gbadyu said. "I want to visit some schools this summer, I'm just not sure which ones."
Gbadyu is also hoping to hear from some other schools.
"Ohio State is a school I wish I would hear from," Gbadyu said. "Miami and USC are two more. Those are schools everybody wants to hear from. Most definitely I would look at those schools."
Despite his 16 scholarship offers, Gbadyu says he is not close to selecting a college.
"I'm going to wait and take official visits after my season is over," he said.
