Five on top for Knox

The recruiting process continues to move at a fast pace for Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints Rivals100 offensive lineman Demetrius Knox. In the last few days Oregon, Washington, and Auburn have all extended offers, and more are sure to follow.
Before the offer the Oregon Ducks were already a program high on Knox's list of options. They remain high on his list of options now with a place among his top five. Joining the Ducks on that list are Ohio State, UCLA, Florida State, and Miami, and each has left quite an impression on the big offensive lineman.

"Academics are a given at all five of those schools," Knox said. "The education is there so that's not even a worry. Distance really isn't a factor to me as far as where I'm going to college. They all have a certain swagger about them to let you know that 'We're the U' or 'We're The Ohio State' or something like that. They're all going in the same direction that I'm trying to do while I'm in college which is to win a national championship. I love the coaching staff and everything."
At this point in the process he is not planning to rush into any decisions and is not listing any of the five as his leader. However, three schools are pursuing more than the others.
"If anything some are coming at me harder than others," Knox said. "That would be Ohio State, UCLA, and Miami."
One of those schools will receive a visit in the very near future.
"I don't have any (unofficial) visits set in stone yet, but I know my first visit will be UCLA. It will be before June 7 before the Rivals [Five-Star Challenge]," Knox said.
He also has a few other visits he hopes to make later this summer.
"I'm going to hit up Alabama and Auburn and I might hit up Cal," Knox said.
As for a decision, do not expect anything until after the season.
"Right now I'm just taking my time with this thing," Knox said. "I think that's where I messed up the first time, but probably around January sometime or national signing day."
