Five in front for Lammons

Four-star cornerback Chris Lammons was in Gainesville last week for the Friday Night Lights camp along with several of his teammates from the South Florida Express 7-on-7 team.
Lammons did not work out, but he got a chance to tour the campus and learn more about the program. Some are speculating he is leaning towards Florida, but he said everyone is still even.

"My top five are Alabama, Florida, Miami, South Carolina, and Tennessee in no order," stated Lammons. "I will make a decision sometime in August."
The two-way athlete visited Tennessee last month and the Miami coaches watched his spring game. Both schools have picked up cornerback commitments in recent weeks, so it could come to a numbers game for Lammons.
As a junior, he threw for 1,293 yards and 13 touchdowns against one interception lining up at quarterback for Plantation (Fla.). He added 554 yards and six scores running the ball.
Despite spending most of his junior season on offense most schools want him in the secondary and on special teams as a return man.
He saw exclusive action at cornerback this spring while participating at camps and on his 7-on-7 team. This fall, he will continue to play quarterback. As far as defense goes, he said he will play anywhere if it helps the team win.
