Five in front for Godfrey

Miramar (Fla.) defensive back Andre Godfrey says his top five is firm, but that could change if a pair of ACC rivals turn up the heat on his recruitment.
Godfrey's five standouts include Louisville, N.C. State, Syracuse, USF, and Wisconsin in no order. When asked what schools could crack his list? Godfrey said, "Florida State and Miami."

He has two official visits lined up for the fall. Godfrey will visit Wisconsin on October 12 followed by a trip to N.C. State on November 2.
Although he doesn't have a leader he feels comfortable with the Wolfpack and area recruiter Richard McNutt.
The three-star defender stated, "I have the best relationship with Coach McNutt. He's more like an uncle. We talk about more than recruiting."
The hard-hitting safety plans to make a decision after the season. Last fall, he recorded 83 tackles, four interceptions, and four forced fumbles for the Patriots defense.
His head coach Damon Cogdell played linebacker at West Virginia in the late 90's.
