Florida isn’t exactly an out-of-the-way recruiting ground littered with undiscovered prospects, and the new Signing Day has accelerated the recruitments of many of the state’s top players. Still, there are plenty of capable of 2019 prospects that have yet to see their offer lists grow to match their skill sets. Today, Rivals.com takes a look at five Sunshine State players that could see their recruitments take the next step during the upcoming spring evaluation period.

Jean’s recruitment is starting to pick up momentum, but it’s probably not quite where it should be. Despite lacking ideal length, the Lakeland-based defensive end brings a nice combination of size and speed. He nearly took home MVP honors at the Rivals 3 Stripe Camp in Orlando. Jean, who is already knocking on the door of four-star status, has a couple of SEC offers in tow as things stand now, but should see more Power Five coaches take note this spring.

On one hand, it feels kind of strange to list a four-star prospect with more than 10 scholarship offers in this space. On the other hand, Melvin has elite talent and should see elite programs take note in the coming months. Melvin is yet to land an offer from any of Florida’s three Power Five programs but seems poised to see that sort of interest arrive in time. So, while Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech and others have made things official already, there may be a few more major recruiting powers involved with Melvin before Signing Day.

Hall holds just two scholarship offers as things stand now, but his skill set will attract more in the months ahead. Kentucky and USF will likely have a wealth of company in the race to land Hall, as the 290-pound standout can play a number spots along the line. He works at tackle for his high school team, but shined playing center at the Rivals 3 Stripe Camp stop in Miami. He could help any number of FBS teams and there’s no reason he shouldn’t have plenty of options.

The nephew of Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal, Luis Cristobal was one of the standouts of the Rivals 3 Stripe Camp in Miami. At 6-foot-2, he may lack truly elite length but that doesn’t matter as much for a guard. Cristobal dominated a few highly guarded defensive tackles and has now proven he can stand toe-to-toe with college-bound competition. Marshall is Cristobal’s lone FBS offers as things stand now, but that should change this spring.

Passmore isn’t the largest defensive tackle. That has probably held him back a bit and will likely consider to do so in the future. Even still, it’s hard to argue with the results. Passmore has had a good camp season and is hoping a Miami offer is in the cards. Whether or not the Hurricanes decide to dip into his recruitment, he should see his offer list grow to include more than the three Power Five schools that have already made things official.
