FIU wins over 3-star CB Rose

Three-star cornerback Ocie Rose of Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington committed to Florida International at the end of July because when it came down to it, the Panthers and assistant Kerry Dixon were the ones showing Rose the most interest.
"The coaches showed me a lot of love and my coach (Tim Harris) told me it was a good decision to commit there," said Rose, who stands at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds. "Coach Dixon was the coach showing me the most love out of all the schools. I just felt like it was a good place to be."

Rose has been attending FIU camp every year since he was a freshman before the Panthers eventually offered in the spring.
He'll look to come in and earn playing time as a freshman.
"They said I can come in as a corner and play then switch to safety," Rose said. "I like both, so I can play wherever coach needs me."
Rose said he's "probably" take an official visit and is considering officially visiting the other schools which have offered, including Arkansas, Bowling Green and Temple.
"I'm committed, but I'm keeping my options open because I want to enjoy my recruitment," Rose said.
Rose had 50 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 interception last season.
