FIU lands Georgia receiver

Wide receiver Nick England of Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill was on a trip to another school when he decided Florida International was the college for him.
"I went to the Troy game on Saturday," England said. "To me, it just didn't really compare with how I liked FIU."

On Monday, the 6-foot, 170-pounder committed to the Golden Panthers, choosing them over offers from Central Michigan, Middle Tennessee and Troy. The Trojans were his No. 2 choice.
"I have a pretty strong bond with all the coaches," England said. "When I went down there for an unofficial visit this summer, I liked it a lot. I like the campus. It's a pretty new program. They're doing well this year and I expect them to just get better."
A two-year starter, England averaged 17.5 yards per reception in 2010. In a combined 19 games the past two seasons, he has 15 touchdown catches.
"I'm probably going to play slot receiver," England said. "They'd like to put me in motion and get me in on some reverses. I'm quick off the ball."
According to England, he likely will make his official to FIU in January.
