FIU commit waiting on GT offer

While class of 2015 two-star defensive tackle Kahlil Welsh of Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood has been committed to Florida International since late June, all it would take is an offer from Georgia Tech to reopen the recruiting process, he admitted.
"Definitely," the 6-foot-3, 263-pound Welsh said. "I'm just waiting for them to pull the trigger."

Welsh said he's in regular communication with the Yellow Jackets and performed well at their camp during the offseason.
"They said I'm on their board and next in line for an offer," Welsh said.
Welsh also said he'd likely open the process for "any big-time ACC or SEC school," naming Florida as a school he'd like to hear from.
Welsh committed to the Panthers after being courted by them for two months. He received an offer at the end of spring from assistant Cameron Turner.
"They gave me a lot of attention and love," the 6-foot-3, 263-pound Welsh said. "They were always a favorite after I showed out at camp. I liked the chemistry I had with the coaches."
Welsh said he's in the process of mapping out his official visits.
