Fitzpatrick adds Michigan offer

Farmington, Mich., wide receiver Desmond Fitzpatrick has been committed to Louisville since October, but a visit to Michigan on Tuesday landed him a new offer from the Wolverines.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Fitzpatrick was one of a handful of in-state prospects visiting Ann Arbor Tuesday night in conjunction with Michigan's home basketball game. He gave a quick recap of the visit after it finished.

"It was a very good visit," Fitzpatrick said. "I got a chance to see a couple in-state players that I know. Also got to interact with the coaching staff. The coaching staff is extremely energetic and very excited about the future of Michigan football."
Fitzpatrick held double-digit offers before adding Michigan to the list Tuesday night. The show of interest from the Wolverines, though, still caught his attention.
"I'm extremely excited that a coaching staff like Coach (Jim) Harbaugh's thought enough of me as a player to offer me a scholarship," Fitzpatrick said. "I know that Coach Harbaugh has a lot of experience. The receiver coach just left the Jacksonville Jaguars so for him to look at my game and believe that it translates to big-time football is an honor."
Fitzpatrick remains committed to Louisville and is in contact with the Cardinal's coaching staff multiple times a week. A three-star prospect, Fitzpatrick is ranked as the No. 9 player in the state of Michigan for the class of 2016.
