Fitzgerald makes his decision

Mission Viejo (Calif.) wide out Sean Fitzgerald became the third Diablo player this year to commit to a Div I school announcing for Utah after narrowing his choices to the Utes and BYU.
Fitzgerald, 6-2, 190 pounds took official visits to BYU and Utah in back to back weekends earlier this month and after visiting BYU, it sounded like he was leaning to the Cougars. In fact, the athlete told us he considered committing on his visit to BYU before deciding to check out Utah to make sure he was doing the right thing.
Fitzgerald's visit to Utah was just as impressive as his trip to Provo and in the end, the receiver decided to go with the school that had been showing him the most love for most of the season.
"Utah was the first school to offer me and really recruited me hard all year," Fitzgerald said. "Both are great schools but in the end, I decided to go with Utah because of how hard they recruited me and how comfortable I felt on my visit."
Fitzgerald will grayshirt his first year, then go on his Mormon mission for two years and return with five years to play four for the Utes.
