First visit very hair-raising for S

Orange, N.J. safety Cory Boyd took an official visit to his favorite this weekend and seems ready to make a decision....sort of.
"I was down at South Carolina this weekend and I loved it," said the 6-foot-1, 186-pounder. "I liked the coaches, players and the area was really nice. I have family who come from there so it's a natural for me to check out. They want me as a running back which is what I want to play."

However, there was one thing that could affect his decision to become a Gamecock.
"They want me to cut my hair," he said. "I have dreads and coach Holtz doesn't allow that during the season or practice. That was a big deal to me because I'm not cutting my hair. It's part of me and they said they might change the rules, but we'll see. I still plan on committing around Signing Day to the Gamecocks."
Boyd has four other visits set up and he'd like to take all of them.
"Wisconsin is this weekend (Dec. 20) and then I have Virginia Tech (Jan. 10), Virginia (Jan. 17) and Boston College (Jan. 24). I'll decide after that, but right now I plan on playing at South Carolina."
