First visit is last visit for OL

Lindenhurst (Ill.) Lakes Community two-star offensive lineman Dan Ronsman took his first official visit this weekend. It also ended up being his last.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound offensive center committed this weekend to Akron on his official visit. Ronsman said he felt at home on the visit and saw no other reason to take other visits.

"The biggest thing definitely was the coaches, the people and everybody around the campus," Ronsman said. "It was awesome. I got along with everybody. They have awesome facilities with that new indoor complex and in '08 or '09 they're going to get that new stadium up.
"It was an incredible trip. I actually committed before I left."
Ronsman was also recruited by New Mexico, Northwestern, Purdue, Ball State, Illinois State, Northern Illinois and Southern Illinois. The visit this weekend was his only visit scheduled and the only trip he'll take.
"Coach Brookhart was really excited when I committed," Ronsman said. "He shook my hand at first and then gave me a hug. Coach Callahan was the same way. He was very honest with me throughout the process. I guess the first time was definitely the charm for me. This will be my only visit.
"I'm excited about heading to Akron."
