Jacksonville (Fla.) Wolfson three-star defensive end Rodney Gnat took his first official visit this past weekend to Louisville. It's a visit his father gave very high marks.
"It went great," Rodney Gnat Sr. said.
"He liked the program and the coaching staff. The whole educational staff and the support system really impressed all of us. We also liked the family atmosphere."
And it's that family feeling that's important to mom and dad.
"My wife and I are concerned about sending him away for the first time," Gnat said. "We want him to have a support system and some structure in place, so we know he will succeed. That's definitely something positive we saw about Louisville."
Gnat is now set to visit Minnesota on December 2. Purdue and Indiana are also slated to get official visits, but no dates have been set at this point. UCF, UConn and Ball State have also offered, along with Louisville.
