First two offers come for OT Via

Just a few weeks ago, Greensboro (N.C.) Northeast Guilford offensive tackle Michael Via didn't hold a scholarship offer. Now the 6-foot-6, 250-pounder has two and is looking for more.
"Three weeks ago I got an offer from East Carolina," he said. "Then on the 31st I went up to Georgia Tech and they offered me too.

"I went by East Carolina last week and it looks real nice. I met the head coach and all of the staff seems like really good coaches.
"Then I went to Georgia Tech for their junior day and it was nice. I got to talk with the offensive line coach and Chan Gailey, the head coach. They all are good people there and I like the way they do things in practice. They get after it pretty good."
Before leaving, Via spent some more time with coach Gailey.
"He's a really good guy and there isn't much else to say," he said. "He offered me and then talked about their academics for a little while. It was mostly general stuff."
Currently Via claims there are no leaders for his services.
"I'm still looking around and waiting until everything is in place."
Next up for the North Carolina lineman is a trip to Virginia Tech.
"I'm headed up there for their spring game on April 21st," he said. "They haven't mentioned anything about an offer, but I like them and want to find out more."
Via also has one summer camp scheduled to Florida on June 3rd.
