First two offers are in for DT Rose

Offers have started to come in for Forestville (Md.) Bishop McNamara defensive tackle Crishon Rose. The 6-foot-3, 259-pounder landed his first two scholarships last week.
"I got one offer from East Carolina and one from New Mexico," he said. "I'm really excited that I finally got one, I mean two after all this time. I'm ready to work to get some more.

"From what I hear East Carolina has a real good program. They were pretty good last year. I have a good relationship with the coaches at New Mexico. A lot of them are from this area and players from this area are going there. I like the program they are building and feel they'll be pretty good soon."
Rose may have just pulled his first offers, but he's already working hard to get more.
"I just got home from camps at North Carolina and Duke," he said. "I plan to go to Pittsburgh, Virginia and Maryland for camps coming up this week. Then next week I'm going to Ohio State on Friday the 26th and Penn State on Saturday the 27th. That's pretty much all my visits until East Carolina in July."
What did Rose think of Duke and North Carolina?
"They were pretty good," he said. "I like the atmosphere and campus at Duke. I think everything went well I hope to hear from them this week. The way they do their camp is they record everything and then evaluate.
"North Carolina's was good too. I'm waiting for them to evaluate as well."
The Maryland prospect is hearing from Penn State, Pittsburgh, Virginia and NC State as well.
With interest rising fast, does Rose like anyone?
"I'm open to everybody," he said. "There is something from each school I like.
"Right now I'm just looking for overall chemistry and I want to look at the team and coaches. Location doesn't really matter, although I don't want to be too far from home. I do just want to make sure the school is a good fit for me. I also want to know where I'm going before my season starts. If I have to push it back I will."
