First Pac-12 offer for Williams

David Williams has performed well at two recent camps and the Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey recruit is seeing it pay off.
After working out at Colorado's satellite camp in California on Tuesday, Williams landed his first offer from the Buffaloes.

Colorado likes Williams, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound three-star recruit who could also play receiver, at free safety.
"I went to the camp (Tuesday) and I kind of showed out at the camp," Williams said. "They were talking about offering me before the camp but they just wanted to see me in person. I went to the camp and showed out.
"This morning, coach (Charles) Clark gave me coach (Mike) MacIntyre's number and he basically offered me from there."
Williams now has offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Hawaii, Idaho, Yale and North Dakota and after attending the Sound Mind, Sound Body Camp in Michigan last week, the three-star said some more interest is coming in.
Michigan, Illinois and Syracuse are now involved in his recruitment and Williams said Cal, Arizona State and Boise State have reached out recently as well.
The Colorado offer is important but with so much new interest, the Los Angeles Dorsey standout said he wants to wait to see what happens leading up to his senior season.
"That's a big offer for me just because it's my first Pac-12 offer," Williams said. "I'm really interested and I'm going to stay in contact with them a lot.
"My mindset right now is I just want to wait everything out. I want to take all my visits and see what happens. Right now I don't have any favorites."
