First official goes well for Monangai

West Orange (N.J.) Seton Hall Prep running back Kevin Monangai took an official visit to Western Michigan over the weekend, his first official visit of the recruiting process.
The 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back also had an in-home visit with one of the coaches from Western Michigan that has been recruiting him, so the MAC school is front and center on his mind.

"My last in-home visit was with Central Michigan and I actually just took my official visit out there this weekend," Monangai said.
"I think last Monday it was coach (Mike) Cummings that came by. They had offered me before he came over and he was just letting my parents know what was going to happen on my trip. He talked about what their plans were for me in the future.
"The visit went really well. I enjoyed myself a lot. It's a great place, a great environment and a great school."
As well as things went, Monangai did not commit while on his visit.
He recently picked up offers from Fordham and Towson. He will be officially visiting Fordham this weekend and he hopes to visit Towson after that.
Villanova is another school that has been showing a good deal of interest lately.
