THE LATEST: The Baylor Bears and the SMU Mustangs extended offers last week and TCU is coming on strong too. He has not attended any college games so far, but he plans to attend the TCU-Baylor game in Fort Worth on November 27.
IN HIS WORDS: On SMU: "I told coach Malone I was real big on academics. My father embedded that in me as a young child and I'm really big on that. Their academics system is great. Not only am I an athlete, but I'm a student-athlete and student comes first. I really think their academic program will fit me well."
On Baylor: "Baylor, not only the program and the winningness of the team. You have to love that. Then actually a lot of my former teammates from Port Arthur Memorial are at Baylor so knowing people I've grown up with are already there and being successful that's great."
On receiving his first offer: "It's a feeling I've never felt before. It let me know all my hardwork has not gone to waste. I've just been waiting forever and it's a great feeling."
RIVALS' REACTION: These are the first two offers so it is early in the process. However, the Bears already have Kameron Martin in his ear letting him know how much he is wanted at Baylor. Another school to watch is Texas A&M. His father played at Texas A&M and he admits he grew up a fan of the Aggies. It is still very early but these are two teams to watch as the process builds steam.
