Chaz Anderson recently picked up his first offer from Boise State and it's a big one because he has friends who play for the Broncos and the Los Angeles Loyola prospect said he's relieved to be on the board.
Boise State has quickly moved right to the top of Anderson's list.
"I have a cousin up there, Bryan Douglas, he's like my role model and with him up there and getting an offer I have so much interest in that school," Anderson said.
"One of my best friends, like my other brother, Lee Hightower, is going there next year. Getting that first offer is great and it's a dream to go there and play with my family so it's wonderful."
Anderson, who's also hearing from Oregon State and SMU, said he's strongly considering a commitment to the Broncos even though things are just heating up in his recruitment.
"Boise State is definitely extremely high on the list," Anderson said.
"As soon as I found out Bryan was going there and they have a good program in football and school, their academics are pretty good, I fell in love with the school. Just to get that offer is overwhelming. They're extremely high on the list and committing is a definite possibility."
Anderson has been impressive at multiple events this spring including the Los Angeles NIKE Camp but his recruitment is still slow to take off. The offer from Boise State is a big deal and could just be everything he was looking for.
"This was a surprising thing," he said. "Right now I'm not hearing from a lot of schools.
"I know several of them may have interest in me but Boise State is the first to really go this far and give me an offer. I've never been up there but I really, really plan to go as soon as I get the chance."
