Athlete Bill Foran, who is from Dallas (Texas) Highland Park, received his first scholarship offer just recently and they are the new favorite.
"The school that offered is the favorite, isn't that obvious?," he said. "Illinois is the favorite."
He is still considering seven other schools.
"My top eight would be Illinois, Virginia Tech, Texas, Texas A&M, SMU, Stanford, Georgia Tech and Purdue," the 6-foot-3, 200 pound Foran said. "Texas is mainly interested in moving me to another position, probably defensive back or receiver. They signed Vincent Young last season."
When do you think you might decide on one team?
"I'm going to wait to make my visits," Foran said. "Until the season is over in December hopefully and the decision will probably just come. I probably won't make all five visits and can't even tell you if I'll make one of them. I may commit early. I just don't know."
During his junior year he had 20 receptions for 265 yards and two touchdowns. As a quarterback, he played strictly mop up duty and was 12 completions of 19 attempts for 158 yards, and rushed 31 times for 241 yards and three touchdowns. The last three games he came in as a third down free-safety and had two assisted tackles and one solo tackle.
