First offer is in for NC junior ATH

2011 athlete Airyn Willis pulled in his first offer this past week. Who pulled the trigger on the High Point (N.C.) Southwest Guilford star and who else is pursuing him?
"I got my first offer last Wednesday from East Carolina," he said. "I'm excited. I'm hoping to get more.

"I know one player that goes there, Alex Taylor. Other than that, I don't really know too much about them. I am going up there Saturday though."
East Carolina is one of a number of teams pursuing Willis.
"I'm getting letters from Virginia Tech, Duke and Georgia Tech."
The junior prospect maintains no favorites, but discussed what he's looking for in a college.
"I would love to be successful in college and go to the pros," he said. "If not, I want to major in physical therapy. I can say I do kind of like Georgia Tech. My favorite player is Calvin Johnson and he came from there. I like the offense they run, the option. They are looking at me as a quarterback and that kind of interests me."
Willis has played running back, quarterback, receiver and safety this season for Southwest Guilford.
"We started off the season strong, but recently we're not putting up points," he said. "I think my speed and the fact I make plays is good. I was averaging 112-yards a game earlier, but haven't scored in the last three weeks."
Willis is also a talented track athlete that made the AAU nationals as a freshman, but missed as a sophomore due to injury.
