First offer is in for Michigan lineman

Lansing (Mich.) Waverly offensive lineman Ramadan Ahmeti knew he would need to attend several camps this summer in order to build a list of scholarship offers, but what the 6-5, 280-pound prospect was not exactly expecting his first offer to come through from Central Michigan before the summer camp circuit began.
"On Monday, Coach [Dan] Enos called me and let me know," Ahmeti said. "I was surprised… I didn't think they were going to offer this early, so it was exciting."

Enos told Ahmeti that they had done all the evaluations they needed to in order to go ahead with the scholarship offer. Ahmeti has also done extensive research on Central Michigan, and he likes what he sees as well.
"This is probably one of my schools up top that I am looking at because it is close to home, it's a good football school, the academics are good and basically what I am looking for in a school, they have it all," Ahmeti said. "I went up there for a junior day and they gave us a tour of the campus. I loved the campus and the facilities."
Several schools have been through Waverly High this spring, including Missouri, Wisconsin and Indiana. Although he now has his first scholarship offer, though, Ahmeti will not change his plan of attending as many camps as possible this summer.
"I'm going to go to CMU's, MSU's, Wisconsin's, Indiana's, Western's and Toledo's," Ahmeti reported. "I am going to play aggressive every play. I know that is hard to show without pads, but I am going to try to get it across that I am a physical and tough player."
Ahmeti earned all-conference and all-area accolades for his play as a junior. He is also a standout basketball player for Waverly High School and starts as the team's center.
