First offer in for Wingo-Reeves

Offer No. 1 has come in for linebacker Connor Wingo-Reeves. The 6-foot-3, 221-pounder pulled the scholarship yesterday and that has jump started his recruitment.
"I got my first offer from Navy yesterday morning," he said. "It just feels really good to get that first offer. It feels like a little bit of a weight has been lifted and now I'm trying to get as many offers as I can, so I have my choice of schools to choose from to find where I fit in the most."

Does he know much about Navy?
"I don't really know much about them," he said. "They have a pretty good football program and they said they'd be coming by in the spring. So, we'll see what happens from there."
Wingo-Reeves just came off a trip to Georgia Tech last weekend.
"I went to Georgia Tech for their junior day and that went really well," he said. "I really liked the coaching staff and felt very welcome there. It was a really good visit I thought.
"I think they want me to come down to their one-day camp to see how I move and everything like that."
Meanwhile, one other school has picked up significantly.
"Miami emailed me and the coaching staff said they really like my film," he said. "If Coach Golden likes it, they are probably going to make an offer. They're supposed to get back this week."
Other schools are continuing to wait, some to see him this summer.
"A lot of the schools want me to come to camp to see what happens," he said. "Outside of that, I know I'm going to take some visits too coming up. James Madison will be in March sometime and then probably Maryland in the spring. I'll probably go to a practice at Virginia too. I'd like to visit Virginia Tech, but I haven't been in touch with them lately."
