First offer in for LB Leffler

Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School is a regular hotbed for talent in the Northeast. 2009 already features two players with offers and now a third has just landed one in 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker Brian Leffler.
"I got my first offer last week from West Virginia," he said. "I was really excited about it. It was my first off and coming from a program as well known as West Virginia is very exciting.

"I know they run a 3-5-3 defense, so I know they are looking for lots of linebackers."
Numerous other schools are also showing interest including Connecticut, Penn State, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Dartmouth, Yale and Princeton.
Does Leffler have an early favorite?
"I've always been a big fan of Notre Dame," he said. "That's fallen off in recent years, but they do take the best players in the country."
Leffler went on to discuss what he wants in a college.
"Definitely I want somewhere with strong academics, a winning program and somewhere I feel really comfortable," he stated. "I want to get along with the coaches. Location doesn't really matter to me either."
Currently Leffler has plans to attend the Elite College Combine in May.
Last season he helped The Hun School to a perfect 9-0 record.
"Our team just really gelled together and everything went great," he said. "We started the year and never looked back.
"I played really well too. I had 92 tackles, 24 for loss and nine sacks. I made a lot of plays on the field with my speed. I'm pretty quick for an inside linebacker although I think I need to work on my pass coverage. I blitzed a lot last season."
