First offer for Pittsburgh TE

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Penn Hills has been home to plenty of top talent over the years and tight end Myles Davis is one to watch from the current junior class.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound prospect attended a junior day that was held at Syracuse over the weekend and left town with his first offer.

"Yes sir, I was just up at Syracuse on Sunday," he confirmed. "I went up for their junior day and I met with coach that's the recruiting coordinator.
"I was at breakfast early talking to some guys and they said I needed to go do something. I ended up going to talk to the head coach and he told me they would be offering me with my family there. He said I'd be getting it in the mail."
Needless to say, as his first offer Syracuse has Davis excited. It's not only a school he will give strong consideration -- it's the one at the top of his list.
"It was just great up there," he said. "I really liked the weight room and I'm a weight room freak. Seeing the Carrier Dome was great. I've never seen anything like that in my life.
"I'd say they're my favorite. It's got to be Syracuse right now. It was just a phenomenal experience."
While it was Davis' first offer Syracuse is not the only school involved.
"I talked to Bowling Green today and they're talking about offering me when their coaches get back from a recruiting trip.
"I'm actually at a Pitt basketball game right now and they've been recruiting me some, too," he said on Wednesday evening.
