First offer for California OL

San Francisco (Cailf.) St. Ignatius College Prep offensive lineman Matt Summers-Gavin said last week that he was close to officially picking up an offer from the Nebraska Cornhuskers, which would have been his first offer, and it looks like that offer is in the mail.
"I just wanted you guys to know my coach just talked to Dennis Wagner at Nebraska and he said there was an offer in the mail," Summers-Gavin, who is 6-foot-5 and 271 pounds, said.

"They're thinking of me playing center. That's my first offer, and I'm really excited about it."
As a junior for San Francisco (Calif.) St. Ignatius College Prep, Summers-Gavin totaled nearly 100 pancakes and blocked at an approximately 90 percent success rate. He was one of only two underclassmen selected to the all-league first team as well as all-county.
Summers-Gavin said he's still pretty open and has been busy sending tapes out to schools like USC, Miami, Washington, Florida State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Texas, Washington State and several others.
He plans on attending the NIKE Training Camp at Stanford.
